Today we’re in the conclusion of Matthew chapter 12, reading verses 38 through 50. Now, I sometimes have a tendency to see with my ‘mind’s eye,’ and when I read this passage recently, I found myself picturing the scene. Jesus was surrounded by a very diverse group of people – from the skeptics to the faithful – from the angry to the curious. And because He was God the Son, Jesus knew just who was who. He could see their hearts, read their thoughts, discern their motives. And by this time in His public ministry, a few of them were beginning to take Him seriously.
