Sincerely Yours #192
What a difference a day makes. Public attitude can quickly turn from apathy to empathy over a tragic event, and perhaps there is no greater example of that than September 11th. But the same group that sang the prayer “God Bless America” on the steps of the Capital building are the very ones who later outlawed prayer in schools. So the obvious question is (and the need to ask it may be just as tragic): why doesn’t it last? Actually, the answer is clear. And it’s found in today’s devotional podcast.
Today’s Reading:
“Because of the miraculous signs He did in Jerusalem at the Passover celebration, many people were convinced that He was indeed the Messiah. But Jesus didn’t trust them, because He knew what people were really like. No one needed to tell Him about human nature.” – John 2:23-25
