Committed, Courageous, and Costly Love

Finishing together. For some of us, that concept seems only natural. But for certain individuals, like the disciple Peter, finishing together is a lesson that had to be learned. Today, we’re concluding the book of John, as we finish chapter 21.  The risen Jesus had just cooked a seaside breakfast of fried fish for His disciples.  And it was as they were done eating that we find Jesus asking a simple question of Peter.

Today’s Reading

“After breakfast Jesus said to Simon Peter, ‘Simon son of John, do you love Me more than these?’ ‘Yes, Lord,’ Peter replied, ‘You know I love You.’ ‘Then feed My lambs,’ Jesus told him.” – John 21:15
