The parable Jesus tells in today’s reading has a very pointed message: conquering death and delivering life. Sound familiar? The religious elite at the time knew exactly what He meant by it. In fact, it’s said that this was His final warning to the religious rulers. Let’s take a look at the parable and see why the Father sent His Son to not only surrender to death, but to conquer it… and then deliver new life.
