No matter what our age, we all have a need for security. When life takes an unexpected turn, we need to know that things are under control to feel safe. As we’ll see in today’s reading, that’s a need that Jesus was more than willing to meet.

“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. My Father, Who has given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are One.” – John 10:28-30 (RSV)
