We all know the hymn “Amazing Grace,” but what about the man who wrote it? John Newton put down in words the spiritual journey of his life. Kind of an autobiographical hymn, you might say. But there’s another John in our reading today, and he would one day introduce God’s amazing Grace… to the world.
