A few years ago, a certain discovery made by the American Astronomical Society captivated the attention of the scientific world. Reports intrigued members of an immense gravitational magnet, pulling powerfully at our Milky Way and at more than one hundred other galaxies, something for which the scientists have no other name except “The Great Attractor.” While this may be news to certain members of the astronomical world, for those of us who are personally acquainted with “The Great Attractor,” this is something we’ve known all along.
