Arthur Boers talks habits, rhythms, and values on ‘WikiGod’

WIkiGod #25: Arthur Boers

This week we are wikiing God with Dr. Arthur Boers…

Arthur Boers is the author of several books including The Way is Made by Walking and Living Into Focus. On this podcast, you’ll hear about his upbringing in a Christian Reformed setting that heavily influenced him to ministry in a Methodist church. That church was in the inner city of Chicago and kickstarted major ecumenical community work there. After that, he gravitated to the Anabaptist expression and now serves as a minster in the Anglican stream.

What’s Discussed on Episode 25:

  • what prompted him to start hiking and why his life was never the same
  • questioning the habits and rhythms that dominated his life
  • his experiences on the ancient Camino do Santiago

That experience resulted in his becoming a voice against busyness and for more sustainable living through focal practices. More importantly, why technology causes us to displace values that are most important to us. And how to return those values to where we want them to be.
