My Church is Flooding

Edit: Many of you have been asking about how to donate. If you want to do that, you can send donations to:
Lander Evangelical Free Church
1215 N Hwy 287
Lander, WY 82520
Our building is going to be fine, so any donations will go entirely to families who lost the most the week.

Thanks for caring about us.

*Update May 9, 2016 – The sun has come out sooner than predicted, and it looks like we’re shifting gears from fighting water to assessing and cleaning up damage. The church building survived, but it was very close. When we got the water rerouted it was only a couple of inches from striking the structure. Members of our church family and community weren’t so lucky. Our basement and yard flooded as well, so we, and everyone around here are going to get things dried out and start putting it back together. It could have been worse, and we’re grateful to have something that’s still worth cleaning up.

Our entire community has worked feverishly all day to save properties and take care of people.
We’re all praying the rain stops tonight, but it’s predicted to keep coming for three more days.
Hard times, but I’m proud of our church and the people of Lander, Wyoming in general.

Matt Whitman

Hey, I'm Matt, and if you're interested in understanding the Bible better and you prefer your Christianity quick and punchy with a healthy side of humor, and an equally healthy side of me not telling you what to do, we're probably going to get along great.
