Albert Benjamin (A.B.) Simpson was a Canadian preacher, theologian, author, and founder of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. When he was 21 years old, he delivered his first sermon at Knox Presbyterian Church in Hamilton, Ontario. The date of that Hug From Heaven was September 11, 1865.
