Hugs From Heaven #347
The hymn ‘America the Beautiful’ is often sung on the fourth of July to help celebrate the anniversary of the original 13 colonies declaring their independence from Britain. The song itself was published on July 4th, 1895 after inspiration struck Katherine Lee Bates on top of Pike’s Peak in Colorado.
