In a recent Foreign Affairs article, Ian Johnston wrote about “China’s Great Awakening”. I must admit the statistics are quite amazing, but why the sudden burst of activity?
“…hundreds of millions of people are consumed with doubt about their society and are turning to religion and faith for answers they cannot find elsewhere in their radically secular society.”
